The UK-wide liver charity created from the British Liver Trust and Children’s Liver Disease Foundation. It provides a nurse-led helpline, support groups, an online community and information for adults, children, young people and families.

Patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) brings lived experience into decisions about what research asks, how it is run and how findings are communicated.
Help shape research
Public involvement means research carried out with or by patients, carers and members of the public. Contributors may help set priorities, review information, join advisory groups or influence how studies are designed and shared.
This is involvement in the research process, not enrolment in a study.
