Tom is an Intensive Care Medicine registrar in London with specialist experience in liver critical care at King’s College Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital. His academic interests focus on liver dysfunction in critical illness, prognostication and longitudinal clinical data. His current research examines dynamic bilirubin trajectories in critically ill patients with cirrhosis and how these approaches might inform risk stratification, trial design and clinical decision-making.

Joe Wilson

Liver Failure Research · Intensive Care

Joe is a Clinical Research Fellow in liver failure syndromes at King’s College London. His research focuses on immunomodulation and immunometabolism in acute liver failure and ACLF, particularly the mechanisms of immune dysregulation and their potential to improve patient outcomes. He trained at the University of Oxford and has spent the past four years at King’s College Hospital. He is working towards a career as an intensive care clinician scientist and is passionate about improving liver and immunology education.
